ARDL’s Chemical Services Laboratory provides Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) testing to examine the antidegradants in a compound. These chemicals are used to prevent or reduce degradation of a compound when exposed to oxygen, ozone or other environmental factors. Antidegradants may include antioxidants, antiozonants and stabilizers. We are able to analyze raw materials, as well as components or products. This reliable testing following ASTM or ARDL proprietary methods, is a rapid and relatively simple way to identify the antidegradants by color spectrum or Rƒ values and then compare them with our database or other compounds.
