Our Chemical Services Laboratory offers capabilities for the identification of plasticizers in a polymer compound. ARDL utilizes GC/MS and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) to perform the examination of plasticizers after pyrolysis and extraction of the polymer compound’s organic additives. Identifying and quantifying the plasticizer assists with formula reconstruction and can assist with the design of compounds.
