ARDL offers capabilities to make color comparisons of resins in pellet form and molded products using the CIE Colorimetric Systems. The systems provide numerical specifications which indicate whether or not pairs of color stimuli match when viewed by a CIE standard observer. The analysis provides CIE tristimulus values from spectral reflectance, transmittance, or radiance data for object-color specimens. The test does not require molding or extruding test specimens and is meant for comparing specimens of similar pellet shape, size, texture and degree of translucency.
