Oxidative and thermal aging can have an adverse effect on the physical and chemical properties of a material. ARDL performs air aging on rubber, latex and plastic materials and products. Air aging at elevated temperatures allows ARDL to study the changing properties of a material or product to better understand how their material or products will perform in the field. Tensile, hardness, specific gravity, geometry and other properties are measured before exposure to elevated temperatures in an air oven. The samples are again measured after exposure to understand the degradation or change in the material’s physical and chemical properties.
